Bulgaria : TELUS International expand its business


International company TELUS International, specialized in outsourcing, plans to expand its activity by hiring new offices in Sofia. New space will be located in Infinity Tower – a business center, situated next to Bulgaria mall, Colliers International that provides for the deal has announced. TELUS will create 188 new jobs, as the company plans to employ between 4000 and 5000 people both in Bulgaria and Romania by the end of 2017. At present, 1200 people work for the company in the two neighboring countries.

Sport Dépôt a ouvert un nouveau magasin à Sofia, Bulgarie


Le 18ème magasin de la chaîne Sport Dépôt a ouvert ses portes en avril sur l’une des principales rues commerçantes à Sofia.
Sport Dépôt est parmi les chaînes d’articles de sport les plus importantes en Bulgarie qui propose à ses clients plus de 30 000 références. La société gère également des commerces en Serbie et en Roumanie.
Depuis déjà 5 ans Sport Dépôt fait partie de SPORT 2000 International l’un des leaders européens dans le commerce de détail d’articles de sport avec plus de 4000 points de vente dans 25 pays.
Le portfolio de SPORT 2000 International comprend des marques telles qu’Adidas, Nike, Puma, Reebok, Asics, Salomon, Wilson, Head, Fisher, Speedo ainsi que des marques de distributeur.
Sport Dépôt a développé également une plate-forme e-commerce.

22 000 Bulgarians are working in outsourcing companies


For the past four years the revenue from outsourcing in Bulgaria has increased by 60%. The Growth in the sector is 40 % in 2011 compared to 2010 and 13% in 2012 compared to 2011. The number of employees in the outsourcing companies in the country is currently over 22 000, said The Deputy Prime Minister on Economic Development at the opening of the round table "Development of Bulgaria as an outsourcing destination - a partnership between the public and private sectors.
"Although the government relies on the export of products with high added value and on the development of high-tech industries as a key factors for economic growth, creating new job places in the services sector is of a major importance, especially in a period of economic stagnation ".

Bulgarie : Croissance attendue de 1,7% en 2014


Dans ses « Prévisions économiques du printemps 2014 », la Commission Européenne considère que depuis les 2 dernières années l’économie bulgare s’est stabilisée. La croissance du PIB devrait atteindre 1,7% cette année, puis l’année prochaine, 2%.
Le marché du travail reste faible, avec près de 13% de la population active, mais la confiance des consommateurs grandit et les dernières données relatives au commerce de détail apportent un certain optimisme. La consommation pourrait se rétablir progressivement au cours de cette année et l’année prochaine. Ce qui toutefois entraînerait une hausse des prix.
Depuis l’été dernier, la Bulgarie est en proie à la déflation due, d’un côté, à l’attitude prudente des consommateurs, et, de l’autre, à la baisse des produits d’importation et des prix de l’énergie. Selon les prévisions de la Commission, l’inflation devrait revenir en force vers la fin de 2014 pour atteindre 1,2% en 2015.
Les investissements, publics ou privés, devraient augmenter en 2014 et 2015, soutenus par un secteur bancaire relativement fort en Bulgarie et par la baisse des taux d’intérêts sur les emprunts, observe la Commission.
Les exportations augmenteraient à rythme modéré, entraînées par le retour à la croissance au sein de l’UE, mais le rétablissement de la consommation intérieure renforcerait les importations et, en règle générale, la balance commerciale resterait déficitaire.

Bulgaria exports USD 1 billion of IT services


Bulgarian software industry exported goods and services worth over USD 1 billion last year, the whole sector generates about 6% of the country's GDP. This is indicated by the White Paper on a New High-Tech Industrialization 2015-2025 which will be released within a week. The authors are leading economists, financiers, engineers, scientists and experts from Bulgaria and abroad. 50% of native IT industry is export oriented, with more than 90% of exports going to Western Europe, the USA and Canada. According to the authors of the book, the annual growth of the software industry is 10% and three quarters of all software companies in the country are owned by the Bulgarians.

DECATHLON prépare l’ouverture de deux nouveaux magasins en Bulgarie


La chaîne française de distribution d’articles de sport DECATHLON qui dispose de deux magasins à Sofia envisage d’ouvrir, en 2014, deux nouveaux magasins (à Plovdiv et à Varna). La société Sportis Immo, propriétaire des biens immobiliers de la chaîne française en Bulgarie, a annoncé avoir conclu le contrat d’achat d’un terrain de 0,14 ha à Plovdiv au coût de 4,04 M BGN (environ 2,07 M EUR). A Varna, la société a loué un local commercial où les travaux sont en cours.
Les projets de magasins à Bourgas et à Sofia (dans le centre commercial Plaza West) sont toujours d’actualité. La société prévoit également le développement d’un site de vente en ligne.

The winter season in Bulgaria was very good


Our country "sends" a very good winter season. Although there was a little snow this season, the tourists were more as compared to the previous season, The Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy said for BNT. He stressed on the fact that Bulgarian resorts were exceptionally well prepared for the season despite lack of snow.
The report shows 2.3% growth, as compared to the previous winter season. Moreover it is expected to go up even more, as the winter season in resorts will continue for nearly two weeks.
Bulgaria has a big tourism potential with its 146 mountain peaks over 2,000 meters. More than half of the municipalities in the country are located in mountainous and hilly areas.

Bulgarie : Deichmann poursuit son expansion


La chaîne allemande de vente de chaussures Deichmann envisage d’élargir son réseau de magasins. La société compte actuellement 16 magasins et prévoit d’ouvrir 4 nouveaux magasins d’ici la fin de l’année 2014. En 2013, Deichmann a vendu 560 000 paires de chaussures en Bulgarie. Son chiffre d’affaires a progressé de 1,3% pour atteindre 13,38 M EUR.
Selon les données de l’Institut national des statistiques de Bulgarie, le commerce de détail dans le secteur « textile et chaussures » a enregistré, en 2013, une hausse de 3%.

Sports Goods Chain Decathlon Plans More Stores in Bulgaria


The French sports goods retail chain Decathlon plans to open two more stores in Bulgaria, reports the business daily Capital Daily.

Currently the company has two stores in Sofia and is planning imminent expansion in Plovdiv and Varna. The plans of a third store in Sofia and a first one in Burgas also remain, but the company hasn't set a time frame yet.

The store in Plovdiv will most likely be ready by the end of the year and the one in Varna – this summer.
